Nicky was only with us for five weeks, but he was the sweetest little boy. He was born with Anophthalmia, which is the absence of both eyes. Even though he couldn't see, he knew you were there and that you weren't going to hurt him. Though the circumstances of his death are still unclear, we do know that he is no longer in any pain and is watching over his big sister Ashlee, twin sister Faith, and baby sister Peyton all the time and playing with his family in Heaven. We miss you everyday and not a day goes by that we don't think about you. We love you, baby.
God saw that he was getting tired and the cure was not meant to be.
So He put his arms around him and said "come be with me."
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly we could not make him stay....
A golden heart stopped beating.
Busy little hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best!!!
I'm lonesome here without you, we miss you so each day.
Our lives aren't the same, since you went away.
When days are sad and lonely, and everything seems to go wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper "cheer up and carry on."
Each time we see your picture, you seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping...we will meet again someday."

God sent an Angel to the Earth...
The sweetest Angel too
And for such a tiny little thing,
He had so much to do.
He knew he did not have
Much time upon this earth to stay,
So he did not waste a second;
He got started right away.
His eyes were bright and sparkly,
He took in every turn.
He did not miss a single thing,
Because Angel came to learn!
God sent him here to touch the
Hearts of those he could not reach...
He taught them courage, strength and faith,
Because Angel came to teach.
His tiny little body
Was so full of God above,
You felt it when you held him,
Because Nicky came to love.
In 5 short weeks he managed
What many never will.
When he went home to Jesus,
His purpose was fulfilled.
He learned and taught, loved and played,
He learned his lessons well.
I know he was so proud of him
When he went home to dwell.
But when I miss him OH-SO-MUCH,
I can almost hear God say,
Please understand, his work was done...
